A quick & easy recipe designed for the young adult or anyone on a budget who wants more out of their ramen, and less out of their pocket. ©2012 The Guerrilla Culinarian / Sean Michael Beyer Recipe: Prep Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 10 mins Yield: 1-2 servings ------------------------ Ingredients 1 Hot Dog 1 Package Store-bought Ramen Noodle 1 Tablespoon Parmesan Cheese, shredded (or 2-3 packets, such as delivered with pizza) 1/8 Stick Butter (1 Tablespoon) 1 Tablespoon Olive Oil (double the butter if you don't have Olive Oil) 1 teaspoon dried Parsley, divided A pinch or two Red Pepper Flakes (optional) 1/2 Teaspoon Black Pepper 2 Cups Water --------------------- Directions In a medium sauce pan, add the water and the hot dog and bring to a boil. Once boiling, cook for about 3 minutes or until you see the seam (on most wieners) split. Carefully remove the hot dog to a small plate and set aside. DO NOT turn off the heat or discard the hot dog water, this is now your ramen noodle w! ater. The water should still be boiling and perfect to add your noodles. Boil them for about 2 1/2 to 3 minutes. Then cover your pan and carefully strain out the majority of the water into the sink, by creating a tiny gap with the lid. BE CAREFUL not to put your face directly over the sink or you'll get a smokin' hot facial! Put the lid back on the pan and return to the stove, making sure the heat is turned off. The road to vocal recovery: after 20 years and $80000 of orthodontic, dental, and oral maxillofacial surgery on both jaws, I have finally reached the end of my treatment towards fixing tmd (temporal mandibular displacemnent) problem. This is an example of what my voice can do after I fixed my bite and tmj popping and clicking. I set a goal three years ago when I was unemployed for 9 months, $3000 in credit card debt and just graduated from college. I sold my van, bass clarinet, borrowed more student loans and went back to college to get a master's in education. Now, my vocal range has gained an octave whereas before I couldn't open more than 15mm without loud popping and pain, severely limiting my range. American Soldier Allegedly Kills 16 Afghans, Taliban Vows Revenge

In the wake of an alleged brutal attack by an American soldier that left 16 Afghan civilians dead and burned on Sunday, the Taliban has vowed revenge against NATO forces. The shootings of mostly women and children took place in Sunday's pre-dawn hours in Kandahar province, when an Army staff sergeant allegedly left his southern Afghanistan base and went into homes of nearby villages Balandi and Alkozai, executing families while they slept. NATO leaders said an investigation was under way and that a suspect was in custody, but would not confirm the number of civilians killed. President Hamid Karzai said the "intentional killing of innocent civilians" could not be forgiven. A Taliban website vowed revenge against "sick-minded American savages," and negotiations between the al-Qaida-linked militant group and the Afghan government were halted. The attacks come in an already bad year for NATO-Afghan relations; last month the country erupted in protests after US troops burned Qura! ns and other holy books in a trash incinerator.
